Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about drone inspections and aerial visuals.

Do I need to be at home during the inspection?

Not always. For most roof inspections we can work while you are away, as long as we have access to the property and permission to fly.

How long does a roof inspection take?

Most residential roofs take around 30–60 minutes on site, depending on size and complexity.

Are you insured and licensed to fly drones?

Yes – we operate under current drone regulations and maintain appropriate insurance for commercial work.

What will I receive after the inspection?

You receive a download link with high-resolution photos and, if requested, short video clips. Files are ready to share with roofers, engineers or estate agents.

Can you send files directly to my roofer or engineer?

Yes. If you provide their email address, we can send a copy of the files or an annotated PDF directly to them.

About FlyInspection

FlyInspection is a small, specialist aerial service run by a professional drone pilot. We focus on clear communication, safe flights and visuals that are genuinely useful – not just “nice shots”.

We use lightweight, professional drones optimised for flying near homes and in built-up areas, producing sharp 4K video and high-resolution photos. Post-production is handled in DaVinci Resolve so your footage is stable, colour-balanced and ready to share.

Right now we focus on services we can deliver safely and independently: roof inspections, real estate visuals, short promotional videos and recurring construction reports across the west of Ireland.

Safety & compliance: commercial drone operations with appropriate registration and insurance. Flights are always planned with local airspace and weather conditions in mind.
